How to get to all users in vista

Vista's new found "security" locks down a lot of things even if your user account has administrative privileges. I ran into a problem like this when installing Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 where the installer didn't have the permissions to run it's own exe file, or something like that. The point is to show you how to overcome a "you need permission to perform this action" situation if you ever find yourself in it.

You must be logged in as the administrator to do this. A new window will pop up once you click on this and you will see all the user accounts on your computer. Click on the user you want to delete and a menu will show up. Click the button that says "delete this account".

A message will appear asking if you want to save the files, choose the appropriate button and click "delete account". If it's not documented, then you can't rely on it. One of the major reasons software companies keep a lot of this stuff undocumented is because once it's published, you can't change it without annoying a LOT of people. You need to ask MS - maybe Raymond Chen could help, but I suspect he'd give you the same advice - you may well find out, but it will not be reliable :- — paxdiablo.

I had already put forward the question through MSDN and am still awaiting reply : — sangupta. Hemant Hemant Thanks for the sheet. But, I am looking for documentation as to how Windows decide where to map these folders to, upon installation. The entries you have made are already as in the registry settings see previous answer.
